The purpose of this blog is to collect all the scattered offerings of our bits of life as new Portlandians in this oh-so-enchanting, west coast City of the Weird. Use it to follow along, use it to plan a visit, or use it to simply commiserate about the drizzle, but in any shape it may take for you, please enjoy.
But, I procrastinated just a bit…
I had intended to start a blog about “our bits of life as new Portlandians” when we first arrived in Portland – Summer, 2011 – logically. And then came Summer, 2012 and I was just getting started. Oops. So we’ll just call our initial posts some ” mindful reflections” on our first year (as well as plenty of happenings in 2012 and beyond). Hey, they say hindsight is 20/20 afterall, right??

I’ve taken a lot of photos in Portland and I think they capture the city better than I can in words. So I’ll do my best to give you interesting images with not too much more extraneous text. However…
Writing is my catharsis.
I talk a lot. Which means I write a lot. So be prepared for random rants and lengthy dissertations on things I find interesting or important every now and then. (Note: you will likely find these less interesting and/or important than I. It’s okay.) I’ll include some photos though to keep it entertaining, promise.
